What is included in the rental rate?
The following is included in the rental rate:
- Unlimited milage
- Full comprehensive coverage
- Theft loss waiver
- Liability insurance
- Additional driver
- Transfer from/to Fort Myers Airport (Miami /Ft. Lauderdale/ Tampa $149 fee)
- All fees, commissions and taxes
What are the rates based on?
The rental rates depend on the season and the length of the rental period. You save the most money in the months of June through September, and if you reserve the car for 30 days or more. As a repeat customer, or by referring friends and family to us, you can lower the rates through bonus points.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period with Florida Auto Rent is three days.
Are there any discounts offered?
Discounts are indeed offered for rental periods of four weeks or longer. You may also want to look into our BONUS Program. As a repeat customer you receive bonus points that will save you money the next time you rent a car from us.
In addition, we also have customer referral program. For each customer you refer to us who rents a car from us, you‘ll receive additional bonus points, lowering the price for your next car rental even further.
What additional fees do you charge?
Our rates are all inclusive and there are no additional fees. Exception: If any special arrangements have been made, there may be extra cost involved, but you will be notified of these prior to picking up the car.
What additional services do you offer?
You can rent a GPS system for $3/day and up. This is a fraction of what other car rental companies charge. Car Children`s Seat $ 20/ week
How many people are allowed to drive the car?
While the majority of car rental companies will charge a fee, we do not charge for a second driver. Up to two drivers can be listed free of charge. If you want to add an additional driver, his/her name must be added to the rental agreement when you sign it. Any fees due must be paid at that point.

What is the rule regarding the gas?
Unless otherwise stated in the rental agreement, the gas must be at the same level as it was when you took over the car. Usually, that means a full tank of gas. If the tank is at a lower
Is there a mileage limit?
Not at all. The mileage is unlimited.
Is there a cleaning fee?
Not usually. The rental rate typically includes the cleaning after you return the car. For details, please check the rental agreement.
What if I have to cancel the reservation?
If you cancel the reservation one week or less prior to your scheduled arrival date, we charge a cancellation fee of $100. We recommend purchasing travel insurance (which you can do online through us at a low fee.)
Reservation
Can I reserve a car on behalf of someone else?
Absolutely. You can reserve a car through our website on behalf of another person and pay for the rental with your credit card. Please note, however, that the person who picks up the car must show a credit card in his/her own name in order to be allowed to take over the car.
What about my personal data, how secure is it?
Your data will be handled confidentially and with strict security precautions. It will only be used for the reservation and to ensure the punctual pick-up service. We do not pass the information on to any third parties.
Payment
How do I pay for my rental car?
You pay up front by credit card to reserve your rental car. As a special VIP service, repeat customers may pay on arrival.
Do I need a credit card to reserve a rental car?
Basically, yes. The easiest way to reserve a car is by credit card. You can pay in cash or Travelers checks in our office if you are a repeat customer. A security deposit in the amount of $500 is charged on top of the rental amount.
How do I pay the security deposit for my rental car?
A security deposit in the amount of $500 can be paid by credit card (which must be in the name of the main driver) or in cash when you pick up the car. The credit card will only be charged in the event of any damages, and only up to the amount of the agreed deductible. If you paid the security deposit in cash and the car is returned in perfect condition, you will receive the entire amount back at that point.
Why do I have to pay a security deposit?
The security deposit is, as the name suggests, a security for the car rental company. It covers, for example, the cost of gas if the tank was not returned full, or damages to the car, either in part or in full. If you pay the security deposit by credit card, the amount will only be blocked but not actually deducted. We’ll only charge the card if repairs or other cost needs to be covered.
