Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park

Visitors who spent several days in Key West and would like to escape the hustle and bustle of Duval Street to spend a comfortable day at the beach can enjoy a tranquil and relaxing visit to the beautiful Caribbean-style beach at Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park.

The state park is located at the Southwest end of Key West. From the end of Southard Street, follow the road through the Truman Annex Gated Community past the Florida Keys Eco Discovery Center to the state park entrance. The park is within walking distance of many motels in the area.

The white beach invites you to sunbathe and relax and to cool off in the turquoise waters.

The Cayo Hueso Cafe, an idyllic beach house, is located right at the beach. The Cafe offers Cuban-style snacks, drinks, and sundries.

Admission Fees Fort ZacharyState Park:

  • $4.50 Single-occupant vehicle or motorcycle.
  • $7.00 per vehicle. Limit 2 people per vehicle.
  • each additional person $ .50$2.50 Riding Bike or walking
