In the United States, filling up on petrol or gas is less expensive than in Europe, but there are still considerable price differences, so comparing prices always pays off. The website "MSN Autos" provides an excellent overview of the current gas prices.
The example lists the current gas prices in Cape Coral and Fort Myers (click here to view the example).
A few tips for using this site:
- The numbers on the map correspond to the ranking of a particular gas station (for example, no. 2 stands for the second most affordable gas station)
- The most affordable gas station is indicated by a green marker.
- The least affordable gas station is indicated by a red marker.
- Use the plus and minus buttons on the right to reduce or enlarge the map.
- Click a blue gas station link in the list to open a detailed map with the location of a particular gas station.
- To learn about gas prices in other U.S. cities, simply enter the desired zip code in the Change ZIP field.
- U.S. gas prices are displayed in gallons. One gallon equals approximately 3.79 liters.
