Google Street View—Adding a Pedestrian's Perspective
Google has expanded its maps service by Google Street View. In addition to well-known features like Map, Satellite and Topographic views, Google Street View offers a 3D panorama from a pedestrian's perspective.
Google Street View is displayed as an additional option in Google Maps, if the required pictures for a particular location are available.
In the beginning (i.e., in mid-2007), Google Street View was only available for metropolises like the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Las Vegas or Miami. Currently, it also covers large areas of Florida (at least the main roads).
For example:
Fort Myers Beach in Florida
