Muscle Car City (Punta Gorda)

Rick Treworgy's Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda opened in March 2009. It houses a memorabilia shop, a 1960s-style diner and a car museum all under one roof.

The lovingly decorated souvenir shop caters to all tastes and budgets—from small keepsakes like miniature cars to neon signs and pedal cars for kids to complete gasoline pumps of bygone eras.

The shop has a considerable collection of old and retro-style metal signs. In the back of the shop, several muscle cars from the 1960s and 70s are for sale.

Museum admission is $11 for adults. Admission is free for children under 12 years, but they need to be accompanied by an adult.

The inside of the museum is also lovingly decorated. Visitors are almost transported into a different world, where approximately 200 cars from different decades are exhibited. The oldest vehicles date back to the 1920s.

The excellent condition of the vehicles is impressive—they look like they just rolled off the production line.

Car enthusiasts (and their children) should not miss out on this museum.
