Vintage Car Show
Vintage car show at Fort Myers' "Old Time Holiday Festival"
During the restoration of Fort Myers historic downtown on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River, the city was trying to revive the downtown area by organizing several outdoor festivals.
One of these events was the "Old Time Holiday Festival" in 2007, where many lovingly restored vintage cars were exhibited.
Vintage car shows of this kind regularly take place in southwestern Florida. The showcased vehicles are proof of the labor and passion that went into their restoration. The majority of the vintage cars from several decades of the last century look like they just rolled off the production line.
In December 2008, the "Old Time Holiday Festival" took place at the Koreshan State Historic Site in Estero. Since the weather in southwestern Florida is still quite pleasant at this time of the year, visitors can enjoy a relaxing day at the Festival.
This is just one more example of why visitors would do well to take a look at the calendar of events in South Florida before planning dates for a vacation.
In 2010, the vintage car show will take place November 10–15.
